Kindergarten Readiness is an element of our preschool program. In addition to our nature-based curriculum, we offer an optional academic-forward block of the day for our students who will be attending Kindergarten during the following year. We use director-developed curriculum that is designed to promote auditory patience and retention, reading and writing skills, mathematics skills, and supply organization. Children who are enrolled in our Greenhouse classroom will spend the rest of the day in our play-based program. Children who are not enrolled in our Greenhouse classroom will attend from 1:00-3:00 daily.
Our half-day preschool program is a multi-age classroom for potty-trained children who want social and structural exposure before heading to Kindergarten. This program operates from 9:00-1:00 daily and follows the Seattle Public Schools operating schedule. The half-day preschool is located upstairs in the two-story building on the west end of our Magnolia campus.
Our school-age programs are for Kindergarteners through 4th graders and include after-school care with transportation from Magnolia Elementary, Our Lady Fatima, and Catherine Blaine K-8 during the school year and separately, full-day summer camps during the summer. These programs are located upstairs in the two-story building on the west end of our Magnolia campus.
Our preschool program is designed to provide loving care away from home for children ages 2.5-6. Our play-based approach combines nature exploration, gardening, hands-on activities, and tons of conversation to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond!
